He's All Mine

My brother, Blaine, was checking livestock up the creek during calving.  He was tagging newborn calves.  Because of the posture of this new mother, Blaine was not going to dismount and attempt to tag the little one that just got to his feet, thus the title.

Girls Night Out

As I rode along with my brother, Blaine, and a prospective horse buyer one evening, I snapped the photo that inspired this painting.  The mares were quietly feeding on the prairie grasses in the evening light.

A Handful

The 2008 White River, South Dakota, Frontier Day's Rodeo was the scene captured in this original oil.  Roger Moran and his grandchildren were "enjoying" the festivities.  It appeared the kids were giving Grandpa about all he could handle that day.
